A simple recipe to make suji ka halwa at home –
Ingredients:
1 cup semolina (suji)
1/2 cup ghee
1 cup sugar
3 cups water
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
Instructions suji ka halwa:
Heat the ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the semolina and fry it until it turns light golden brown, stirring constantly. Add the water to the pan and stir well. Be careful, as the mixture will bubble up. Reduce the heat to low and cook the semolina mixture for 8-10 minutes or until the water has been absorbed and the semolina is cooked. Add the sugar and milk to the pan and stir well. Cook the mixture for 5-6 minutes or until the sugar has dissolved and the halwa has thickened. Add the cardamom powder and stir well. Cook for another minute. Turn off the heat and let the halwa rest for 2-3 minutes.
